Background

As a class task, we were assigned to take the existing Western Sydney University app and improve upon it within an hour time limit. My focus was on making the app use similar elements to the website while keeping convenient the quick links. This meant users could stay up to date with university news, while the university didn't need to update multiple systems to make updates on what is displayed.

Features Added

Important quick links to services like the campus map or shuttle bus schedule was brought into the bottom navigation tray. For new students, this would be valuable to have on hand as quickly as needed. However, for the older students, they can change these to any other service they deem more important via the settings. Allowing the diverse needs of all students to be satisfied without compromising the needs of others.
